Why and how to maintain its refrigeration equipment?

The maintenance of the refrigeration equipment is essential to ensure their proper functioning. The risks of not maintaining the equipment are:

  • premature aging of the machine
  • over-consumption of energy (see energy savings)
  • decrease in refrigerating power
  • failure to comply with safety standards and environmental protection

You can find below a few rules for the care and maintenance of your deep-freezing, fast cooling, storage and retarder proving Hengel equipment. The list of cleaning and maintenance operations described is not exhaustive and will be completed if necessary by the local standard requirements related to environmental, health and safety.

 

WARNING:
The cleaning or maintenance operations must be performed by QUALIFIED STAFF ONLY and APPLIANCES MUST BE TURNED OFF by switching off the power supply during cleaning and maintenance.

We recommend that end users subscribe to an annual maintenance contract with a refrigeration company with a valid capacity certificate.

FAST ACCESS

 

DEEP-FREEZERS, STORAGE SYSTEMS, FREEZER/COLD ROOMS

Operation Observations Minimum frequency
Cleaning the air condenser Use a brush with non-metallic bristles, remove all dust Every 4 months
Check the compressor oil level If necessary, supplement with suitable oil Every 4 months
Charging and sealing control (leaks detection) of the refrigerant fluid

If necessary, complete the charge.
If sealing problems persist, problem must be fixed by a qualified technician.

This operation must be done each year by staff with a valid certificate of capacity. Request a conform certificate to seal at the end of the intervention.

Every year

Control of the evaporator Visual inspection of the good state of elements of the evaporator and the lack of ice Every 4 months
Clean the door gaskets Use a soft sponge with water containing a slightly non-detergent product Every 4 months
Check the tightness of the door seals In case of wear, replace the door gaskets Every 4 months
Interior cleaning It can be done with a soft sponge and clear water with added detergents products compatible with stainless steel and aluminum. The surfaces are then rinsed with clean water. Trays, racks, slides can be washed with water. If it is necessary to enter the unit, have protection placed on the floor panels. After cleaning, the device must be ventilated by leaving the door opens so that humidity can escape Every 4 months
Exterior cleaning Clean coating with non-detergent products and a soft sponge Every 4/6 months

 

BLAST CHILLERS AND FREEZERS
